The 3.8km swim course will be marked with yellow cone-shaped buoys. Keep the yellow buoys on your right throughout the whole 3.8km swim! When the 3.8km swim course joins the 1.4km swim course, you'll see a "gate" made up of a pink buoy on the left and a yellow buoy on the right. You need to swim between the pink and yellow buoys to have your time recorded or receive a placing - if you cut the corner (ie. swim to the left of the pink buoy, you will be disqualified from the event). Once you are on the 1.4km swim course, continue to keep the yellow buoys on your right. As you approach the finish line, you'll see another gate with a pink buoy on the left and the last yellow buoy on the right. Swim between these buoys, continue onto the beach and through our finishing arch.
The 1.4km course will again be clearly marked with a series of yellow buoys. Keep the yellow buoys on your right at all times as you complete the course. As you approach the finish line, you will see a finishing “gate” with a pink buoy on the left and the last yellow buoy on the right. Swim between these buoys, continue onto the beach and through our finishing arch.
The 600m course will be marked with smaller yellow swim “cans”. As you approach the finish line, you will see a finishing “gate” with a pink buoy on the left and the last yellow buoy on the right. Swim between these buoys, continue onto the beach and through our finishing arch. The great thing about the 600m swim is that you can see the whole course from the start line and it is really easy to follow.
